Bug Frenzy is a family business based in South Australia. All our invertebrates are either captive bred, or sustainably and ethically sourced. We love bugs and want to encourage that love in others, to educate and ensure that these wonderful creatures will be here for generations to come. Why keep insects as pets?
“Why would anyone keep insects or even pet spiders?” you might ask. Personally I love the beautiful, strange shape of insects, their colours, diversity, unusual behaviour and interesting life cycle. And luckily, many other people all over the world discover the fun in keeping insects as pets!
Invertebrates such as praying mantids and stick insects are fascinating and quite practical pets. They come in beautiful shapes and colours. It is fascinating to see the animals hunt, grow, molt, lay eggs and see their methods of camouflage and defenses.
An additional practical advantage, is their modest requirements for housing, care and food. Compared to common pets like cats, dogs, rodents and birds they require less time and space. They are also harmless, allergy-free and their food is less expensive than the food of most commons pets. All this makes them an increasingly popular group of animals to keep as pets, for young and old people alike!

We got to hangout and have encounters from the moment he arrived, he arrived in perfect condition with the date he last ate on the box itself and the box tells you everything you need to do to look after your jumper! Would definitely recommend to anyone, they are extremely fast.. so you need speedy hands to catch up- I named my little guy “ Switch” because he can never make up his mind about where he wants to explore.✨💕

February 12, 2022 My little guy arrived today. He arrived so quickly and was well hydrated and was very lively! Ate a cricket after being in his new enclosure for a while. He’s extremely cheeky, loves hiding in the seals of the enclosure. He really loves the log provided for him, provides a good place to hide. We love him already!

September 12, 2021 - Love this little guy/gal already. Package was delayed by 4ish days, at no fault to BugFrenzy, but due to the expert packaging, my spider is still alive and happy. Only wish is that they included a printout with care instructions and maybe even some facts/info on the type of spider/insect it is. Maybe that could be something included in future orders. I think it would be cool to receive that especially for first time owners. But all in all can't wait for this guy/gal to grow.

Everything was packed perfectly, and even a gel pack was included in the packaging to make sure he arrived safely.
He is quick, but also very tame, and is not afraid to jump on and spend some time with you.
Nothing is better than watching him wave his little legs around while exploring!
