Description

Ethmostigmus rubripes is Australias largest centipede, with some forms growing to 23cm. This form is small though, reaching about 140mm. The body is a beautiful golden tan with a contrasting black cephalic plate. E. rubripes are quite a reactive species and can move very fast when need be. They have the strongest venom of any Australian pede and handling is discouraged. This form is found on the sandy Perth coastal plain. A mix of clay, sand and coco-peat is ideal.
