Description
A very large, attractively patterned huntsman spider. A hardy and often extremely slow growing species.
Habitat: tree trunks and hollows in Casuarina (She-oak) forests, parts of Arid SA, VIC and NSW
Size: 35mm body length, leg span up to 155mm
Features: Long, slender legs. Carapace and abdomen featuring prominent black and white radiant patterns, legs are banded with black blotches. Individuals vary in regards to lightness and pattern intensity, some individuals can be very dark, some may have brownish pattern instead of black or grey and some individuals might have much lighter colours with less intense markings.
Sold as captive-bred juveniles
