Description
This is a humongous species of Prowling spider found in SA’s far northern mallee, where they build thick sac/webs under logs.
This species has a mature body length of 24-29mm long, with mature males having very long legs.
This species resembles M. lineata but closer inspection is required to tell the difference.
In captivity they make awesome webs, and are very entertaining to watch eat, living up to their name and stalking the prey like a cat.
