Carabidae are a family of predatory beetles, that live on the ground.
This is a medium sized beetle of 10-15mm or so. This species is found in leaflitter around Adelaide, and is diurnal and surface active. Some of the larger ones burrow.

Received my Predatory Ground Beetles safe and sound! Excellent packing inside and clear instructions for couriers to take care! The bugs are extremely active and ate yesterday, they are also extremely active and love to climb.. highly recommend these critters
