Description
Phlogius is an unofficial genus of Australian Tarantulas (Theraphosidae) that is currently called ‘Selenocosmia’. This species is know for it’s red setae ( hence rubiseta – “ruby” + “setae” = rubiseta) which are . This species is from northern Queensland.
They can be fed live crickets if they are considerably smaller than the spider and the spider has constructed a burrow/web-retreat.
WARNING : Tarantulas have tarsal claws and scopula pads and can climb plastic and glass, be careful.
