This species of native Scutigeromorph centipede is found throughout mesic and semi arid Australia, where they dwell in leaf litter, under rocks and stones and under/in rotting logs.
They grow to 55mm in length and like all centipedes, are predatory. They are occasionally found in houses, but generally this is more common overseas.
