Description
A very similar species to the Painted stick insect Anchiale briaerus, this is a more slender species found in southern QLD and NSW. Nymphs are almost identical to A. briaerus snd share the banded legs, red abdomen and purple pronotum. adults are green or brown, 12-15cm long and have black and white chequered wings. This species feeds on Eucalyptus leaves.
