Description

This species of millipede is a stunning amber colour with flattish tergites and a banded appearance. They have a strong defensive chemical that they can secrete if disturbed. This may stain the skin for a few days and smells fairly bad. A few washes with warm, soapy water will remove it.

This species grows to about 5cm in length.

An ideal captive environment is a coco-peat and vermiculite substrate mix with dried leaf litter, bark and pulpy wood on top, and then covered with moist coco peat. Add springtails to reduce mould.
