Description

Tasmanicosa leuckartii is a species of wolf spider found throughout South Australia, where they build short burrows in bushland or open areas.

These are unusually defensive for wolf spiders, and in our opinions are the most defensive burrowing spider, even out-angrying Aname, Idiosoma and Euoplos sp.

Tasmanicosa leuckartii grows to 27mm in body length, making it one of the larger Tasmanicosa species.

Sold as unsexed juveniles – eating pinheads.
