Description

This medium-sized wolf spider occurs in areas of tropical savannah in FNQ where rock has eroded and left coarse, white sand. The spiders pale colouration help camouflage them on their preferred substrate. They are hardy in captivity and will typically construct a chamber or bubble underneath the substrate to sleep in which is usually visible form the underside of the enclosure.
