Description
Selenotypus is a genus of Australian tarantulas. These spiders are much slower growing than Phlogius and don’t make as much webbing.
These are slings with a roughly body length of up to 1cm. This species is from the Atherton tablelands.
Tarantula slings should be fed pre-killed crickets (euthanised, to do this –Â put the cricket in the fridge for 5 minutes, and then into the freezer for 15-20 minutes, then they don’t feel a thing). Here at Bug frenzy we care about our bugs and as such we don’t recommend “partially crushing the crickets heads” (As recommended by some keepers) as this is very painful for the cricket and quite frankly, cruel. They can be fed live crickets if they are considerably smaller than the spider and the spider has constructed a burrow/web-retreat.
WARNING : Tarantulas have tarsal claws and scopula pads and can climb plastic and glass, be careful.

Received my sling today (12/01/21) and couldn’t be happier! The sling looks great and healthy. I was so impressed with the packaging, so professional and nothing left to chance. Really happy with the kit and so glad I added it to the order. I literally had it the next day from posting and will most certainly be purchasing from this site again… Thank you!
