Description

Selenotypus is a genus of Australian Tarantulas. They are generally small in size, robust and slower growing than Phlogius and Cormiocnemis.

This particular species is new to the hobby. We are unsure why they are called “ember” but one can only assume they must be ember-coloured ish as adults, but slings are pretty much always light in colour.

Selenotypus are generally found in the semi-arid savannah areas of northern Queensland

WARNING : Tarantulas have tarsal claws and scopula pads and can climb plastic and glass, be careful.
