Description
Neosparassus species can be found throughout Australia, though this species is from inland SA. The upper body of the huntsman is yellow-tan with spots and a V-pattern on the end of the abdomen. However the underside is where this spider truly shines… Every leg has alternating black and white bands and a bright metallic blue area near the base and the underside of the abdomen has a shield pattern with bright red, black and yellow. When threatened these spider will show the underside to startle predators.
