Description

Austrosipyloidea carterus is a medium-sized, lightly built stick insect found across the drier parts of tropical northern Australia. The slender form of this species helps them camouflage in the long, tall grass which grows around the Eucalyptus trees that they feed on. Adult males and females of this species have long wings and are able to fly.
