Description
This species of Jotus jumping spider doesn’t dance like most peacocks in the genus Maratus, instead they put the end of their leg over the edge of a leaf and wiggle it to attract the female. They do this multiple times. These spiders even dance when there’s no females, so you don’t need a female to make him dance.
We recommend the bug box and jumper kit selected or the little bug box.
Currently eating x-small crickets.

Very active and curious fella. Decent size for a peacock and never turns down a meal. His little waving front legs are also super cute.

The tiny Striped peacock arrived safe but he’s not happy in any enclosure other than a tiny 10cm x 7cm x 5cm clear soap container, one half substrate and the other half nothing, the only place he’ll eats his flys, so strange!
Very fast and skittish species probably due to its size and fast metabolism, doesn’t really like being handled but too small anyway, very slowly getting used to his new home.
To be expected from some species.
Thanks Bug Frenzy!

Spider arrived in healthy condition, immediately had a good appetite, and loves jumping around his enclosure. I really love the blue eyes. I picked up on a cold night and while the spider had slowed down, once warmed up he was fine. He was packaged very well in a small cup with tissues, wrapped in bubble wrap and tucked into a box filled with foam packing

This little guy really does love to dance- he has a real spring in his step. Always tapping his toes. He’s such a fun little guy. He also has beautiful eyes. He arrived super quickly and is eating well and settled into his new home.
