$100.00$200.00

Description

Idiommata scintillans is a very large black brushfooted trapdoor spider, reaching the size of a small tarantula. Males are covered in metallic silver hairs, leading to the common name of “silverback”. Like their closest relatives the tarantulas, they possess claw tufts on their feet which allow them to rapidly scale smooth surfaces such as plastic. They are found in arid SA, where it constructs an extremely well camouflaged lidded burrow in leaf litter.
