Description

This is an undescribed species of Calolampra also known by the temporary name ‘watchtower’. These small cockroaches are found commensally in the burrows of much larger Giant burrowing cockroaches (Macropanesthia sp.). They feed on the frass and the dried leaves that the larger species brings into the burrows. Males are winged and may be able to fly while females completely lack wings. They are fast breeders and best kept in a tub with soil and leaf litter.
