Description
These large, spectacularly coloured native cockroaches are found in dry savannah areas of northern Queensland. They feed on things like pollen and oatmeal (in captivity) and are often found basking in the sun in the wild. They are diurnal and very active in captivity unlike most cockroaches which spend the day hiding. They can be handled but if disturbed they may spray a foul-smelling liquid from their abdomens onto you.
