Description
A widespread species found everywhere humans are. They are native to the mediterranean region and were spread with humans and agriculture thousands of years ago. They are the main species consumed in France as Escargot and there also many large snail farms that raise them commercially for consumption. In Australia they can be found in gardens and other places such as church yards. They are medium-sized and have brown shells with darker and lighter patches and stripes. The actual body is yellow-brown. They feed happily on cucumber, grape and carrot.
