Description

This is a species of Spirobolid millipede found in wet forest in SEQ. They are a very large species with bright red legs and armed with a yellowish smelly substance they can secrete if disturbed. They grow to a maximum of about 13cm. Millipedes feed on decomposing leaves, wood and other organic matter. They will also eat some vegetables including carrot and pumpkin.
