Description

These are medium sized (3-4cm) millipedes from Nsw and Qld, where they live in leaf litter, soil or rotting logs. At night they emerge to forage, this specie sin particular seems to like climbing tree trunks. Most millipedes can produce a pungent yellow liquid as defence, which smells pretty bad and can stain skin, however this species produces a somewhat nice smelling sweetish scent.

Millipedes are detritivores, feeding on decomposing organic matter like leaves, wood, vegetable matter and lichen.
