Description
These millipedes from FNQ rainforests are black with white bands on the tergites. Like other millipedes, this species consumes decomposing organic matter such as wood and leaf litter. Millipedes desiccate (dry out) easily so require moist substrate and high humidity, which also helps the dried leaf litter break down.
Millipedes benefit from a few pieces of cuttle bone in their enclosure for calcium, which is needed for them to have healthy, colourful and strong exoskeletons.
These millipedes are about 6-8cm in length.
