Description
Grass mantids are a medium-large species of mantid found in VIC, NSW and QLD, Growing up to 90mm when mature. They resemble twigs and are arboreal in habitat, they hang from sticks to camouflage and sway with the wind. Mature specimens have wings but only males can fly. Mantids can be handled in a similar fashion to phasmids but care must be taken not to injure the mantis.
Choices: Large mantid, or small juvenile
