Description
This is a somewhat notorious species in the hobby – they are very picky. They are very fussy when it comes to substrate, most substrates they will simply refuse to burrow in. a dense, play sandy clay generally works best. They build a thin lid in embankments in southern NSW. Despite the species epithet “gracilis” they are the polar opposite, absolute tanks. They can also be quite defensive and fast. Overall, a species for experienced keepers.
