Description

The little tarantula is a species of prowling spider found across most of semi arid and mesic Australia, being more common in eastern states. While not a true tarantula (Theraphosidae) or even in the same infra-order, it is still a large and impressive spider nonetheless.

This species matures at around 25mm in body length. M. tarantulinus are extremely, extremely fast and can climb smooth glass and plastic very easily, be careful when opening the enclosure as they are not timid and will dash at the speed of sound.
