Description
Opisthoncus are common medium-sized jumping spiders often found in Gardens along the south and east coast of Australia.
This species is odd in that the females almost entirely lack patterns, and they are also found in an arid mallee environment as opposed to most species living in wetter areas.
Males are typical looking and are red, black and white with an elongated first pair of legs.
Females are a very light brown with the only patterns being 4-6 black spots on the abdomen arranged in pairs.

My spider came healthy and quite active. Packaging was very well done, protected etc. Only thing I would fix up is that some of the descriptions don’t tell you if the spider is juvenile or not. I was expecting my spider to arrive as an adult although I had no issue with receiving a juvenile. Other than that my spider is gorgeous, arrived safely 🙏🏽🤙🏽.
