Description
Opisthoncus are common medium-sized jumping spiders often found in Gardens along the south and east coast of Australia.
This species is odd in that the females almost entirely lack patterns, and they are also found in an arid mallee environment as opposed to most species living in wetter areas.
Males are typical looking and are red, black and white with an elongated first pair of legs.
Females are a very light brown with the only patterns being 4-6 pairs of black spots on the abdomen.
