Description
Marbled wishbone spiders are a species of wishbone/trapdoor spider in the family Anamidae. These spider build burrows in embankments or the forest floor in NSW, they may be Y shapes, giving them the name, with the smaller offshoot chamber being an escape route. The spiders mature at around 35mm body length for females and around 20mm for males. Wishbone’s can be very entertaining to watch feed, often snapping crickets in half or skewering the head with their massive strong fangs.
