Description
This is a medium-sized native isopod with a wide distribution from central NSW to FNQ. These isopods are nocturnal and primarily inhabit tropical rainforests, where they can be found walking in leaf litter and on plants at night. This species can grow to 10mm in length and hugely variable in colouration, no two individuals look the same. They are usually any combination of varying shades of brown, grey, yellow, orange and red.
These isopods need a moist environment but also need plenty of ventilation as stale air will kill them.
