Description
This medium-large sized spider hunter is found across a small area of South Australia in dry scrub, with sandy, rocky soil.
Spider hunters possess a special modification of the ‘tail’ and specialise in preying on spiders, and will often live in the burrows of spiders they have killed. Fortunately in captivity they will accept crickets as food. So, please do not feed this scorpion any live spiders.
This species is rather unique among Isometroides in that it isn’t found in an arid habitat, and unlike nearly every other known Isometroides species possess a dark colour scheme with a marbled pattern.
