A medium-sized, ground dwelling, and predatory beetle species found throughout arid SA. This species has 2 pairs of bright orange spots that warn to any potential predators that the beetle can excrete pungent smelling chemicals. Carabids are active predators and enjoy small, fast prey such as crickets.
