Description
Ethmostigmus rubripes is Australia’s largest centipede species with some forms growing to 23cm in length, though this is rare. This form is arguably the smallest, not even reaching half that size. Ironically one of the top 3 largest colour forms (Kuranda form) is found less than 20km away from this form. Though they are small, this form is extremely defensive and fast, often violently (and terrifyingly) fish-flopping on the spot. This form grows to 105mm in body length. They should be kept on moist coco-peat with a bit of peat moss or sand added for texture (and no ventilation).
