Description
Urodacus armatus is a species of Urodacid burrowing scorpion found in Southern Australia from Alice springs in the NT through to WA, SA, Victoria and western NSW.
This species grows to 70mm and constructs deep burrows in dry habitats, from deserts to sand dunes on beaches. They have short, robust claws used to grab prey that wanders near their burrows at night.
These scorpions are quite defensive, and will sting and claw at anything bothering them, occasionally they can spend hours repeatedly attacking the air, even though nothing has bothered them for some time.

Arrived safely, settled in well, very feisty and entertaining to watch him roam around his enclosure late in the evenings. Feeding well and making burrows. Such an awesome scorpion can’t wait to build the collection more and continue learning about different species. I’ll be back with more orders.
