Description

Seqocrypta jakara is a species of Barychelid (meaning “Heavy fang”) brush footed trapdoor found around Brisbane, QLD.

The name “Seqocrypta” comes from “Seq”, referring to South-East Queensland and “crypto” meaning hidden, referring to this species incredibly well camouflaged trapdoor.

Barychelidae are the closest living relatives of Tarantulas (Theraphosidae) and share the claw tufts and scopula pads on the feet which not only give them adorable little paws but also allow them to effortlessly scale smooth surfaces, so be careful when opening their container.

These cuties comes with an optional kit that includes:

  • Mini Clear-View with Clay Based Substrate
