Description
This is a fairly well-known arboreal Cormocephalus sp. found from about Brisbane to north of Sydney. How such a stunning, widespread and distinctive species such as this could of escaped the early taxonomists is beyond us.
This species grow to about 100mm in length.
Most Cormocephalus are very calm, however this species is high strung, up with the likes of psychotic beasts such as Rhysida nuda. However all Cormocephalus have milder venom than most centipedes, comparable to a bee sting, although everyone has a different reaction and people allergic to bee stings will fare worse.
