Description
A medium-sized, robust ground beetle that can often be found in small groups living in abandoned spider burrows in South Australian deserts.
These beetles use their strong sharp mandibles to capture and dismember prey like the larvae of other beetles, so mealworms make a great feeder for them. This species is mainly glossy black with vibrant cyan edges and the elytra have a beautiful blue sheen to them. This species is around 20-25mm in length.
