Description
This species of ground/ant spider (Zodariidae) is found in leaf litter and in triodia clumps in SA’s far northern mallee. They are about 7-10mm long with hairy (Hirsute means hairy) abdomens with many light spots and a smooth cephalothorax and a “helmet” shape head – typical of Zodariids.
This species will bind 2-4 dried leaves together to form a sac where they deposit their eggs (if gravid) and/or sleep.
