Description
These are small mantids found in Australia’s tropics, they are named for the adults wide, net-patterned wings. These mantids grow up to about 25mm in length as adults. They like slightly moist, warm conditions and need feeding once every second day or once a day, especially as nymphs.
Adults can fly well and nymphs are quite fast.
Currently eating pinhead/x-small crickets

Very satisfied! The little mantis arrived quickly and is curious and active. It’s about the length of one finger joint, and under light, both its upper body and forelegs are semi-transparent, which looks especially beautiful. I’ve been raising it for six days now, but the only issue is that it doesn’t seem to hunt actively. It even rejects X-small crickets. My current solution is to tear open a small mealworm and feed it from the exposed section with body fluids. I’ve considered wingless fruit flies, but I can’t find any. I’m not sure if this issue will improve after it molts.

Two days after molted: the adult REALLY flies well. Also, the wings are beautiful.
