Description

This is a nocturnal, open sand and leaf litter dwelling wolf spider from SA’s northern mallee.

We’d recommend coco peat as substrate for this species, ensure it has some moisture content but certainly not enough you can squeeze water out of it. You should be able to feel moisture in it but not have moist/wet hands after touching it. Any size enclosure is fine, ranging from a small 10×10 enclosure to a 30×30 enclosure. During the day this species buries itself in the substrate, making a little bubble for themselves, or hides under a piece of bark/in leaf litter. As such, we’d recommend supplying a piece of bark in the enclosure for the spider to hide under.
