Description
These large, orange-brown millipedes are found in sandy rainforest environments in South-east Queensland. Housing should include a moist rain-forest-floor type of environment with organic matter mixed in with cocopeat, decomposing leaves and pulpy wood.
Juveniles often have a lighter tip to the tail and are a paler overall colour than the reddish-brown adults.
This species is very large and reaches 10 centimetres in length.
Millipedes feed on decomposing wood, leaves and other organic matter.
They will also eat a bit of vegetable such as carrots, sweet potato or pumpkin.
