Description
Tetralycosa is a widespread genus of wolf spider containing numerous species adapted to life in saline environments. Some species live on saltlakes in the desert, and others lives on beaches. This species is a typical saltlake dweller with long legs and large eyes and is found in WA’s wheatbelt. This genus contains Australias largest wolf spider, an similar looking species found in SA which can reach almost 100mm in legspan. This species is a more modest 65mm but makes up for it with it’s intricate patterning and banded legs.
