Description
Argiope trifasciata is a widespread species of Araneid orb weaver. this species is found all over australia, preferring arid grasslands where they are found in large numbers (sometimes communal) in Spinifex (Triodia)
This species is a silver colour with bands on the inside of the legs, giving them they’re name.
they need a pop-up mesh enclosure (30x03cm) to create their web. once created you can release flies in there every second day or chuck a cricket into the web (about half the size of the spider, thrown into the centre of the web) twice a week.
