Idiommata is a genus of Brush footed trapdoors which contains the largest australian representatives of Barychelidae. Idiommata are typically patternless with an iridescent sheen, more pronounced in males which are often completely covered in metallic silver or gold hairs leading to the common name of ‘silverback’.
