Description
Scolopendra morstitans is a large, highly variable species of centipede found throughout the world, mainly in the tropics. They are hugely variable in size and appearance and there’s over 50 colour forms in Australia alone.
This one, from remnant semi-coastal mallee habitat is average sized (15cm for adults) and has particularly vibrant peedlings, with them being yellow with grey bands, bright red antennae, base of terminal legs and cephalic plate and blue legs and tips of the terminal legs.
They will take a few years to grow and should be kept on moist coco-peat.
