Description

Ptilocnemus is a genus of medium-sized, Black and Tan coloured assassin bugs found throughout Australia in forested habitats. This genus is very unique, with the hind legs bearing huge areas of hairs. In the wild these assassin bugs may use pheromones to lure in and prey upon large ants.
