This is a very strange spider. It measures approximately 80-90mm in leg span, making it among the largest Euoplos species such as E.regalis or E.grandis. However this individual has a striped abdomen and was collected amongst a colony of Euoplos similaris (a species which has stripes but only reaches about 65mm). This individual is likely an abberant individual of Euoplos similaris that reached an unusually large size.
