Description
These are large, dark grey isopods – some have yellow spots. Found in northern NSW, and Southern QLD. Unlike the familiar, commonly encountered pillbugs, this species is native to Australia
This species enjoys moist habitats and needs plenty of decaying wood and leaf litter to feed on.

All arrived alive, on time and well, we even had one lay eggs in shipping and so we now have lots of babies as well.

The bugs arrived well packed and on time. I should have researched the size of the bug before purchase as they are a similar size to the ones in my garden. This was my miss understanding not the fault of bug frenzy who have great bugs and customer service.

Arrived healthy and the number ordered. Their tissue/sphagnum was a little dry so another day or so in the post and they might have started to suffer.

I got some of these a couple of months ago. They were quite small when they arrived but have grown VERY quickly to be some of the biggest iso’s I have. They are easy to identify in the mix of other types I have and I’ve had my first batch of babies arrive recently. My only feedback is that the tissue/sphagnum they were packed in was not quite moist enough and was quite dry by the time they arrived. All were alive and well though.
