Description

Maratus pavonis is found in NSW, VIC and certain parts of WA and SA. Males from the east coast have a blue and red abdomen, while those from WA have a green and red abdomen. They are medium-large peacock spiders, growing to 5-6mm in length.

Females are brown, grey and robust with chunky bodies like most Maratus females.  They are excellent hunters and do not need a feeding cup.  Setup can be horizontal or vertical, Bug box 2.0 is preferred as they are quite active!
