Description
This species of Heteropoda is found in QLD and is introduced in NSW around Sydney and reside under the bark of eucalyptus trees. They emerge at night and sit on the trunk, waiting for prey to pass by. Heteropoda are one of the most skittish genera, and are found from NSW to WA, being more common in warmer places.
Heteropoda is a large genus of very similar spiders, distinguishable via location and very subtle characteristics.
